Photo taken at Piazza Peretti in Grottammare Alta, the medieval village It develops around Piazza Peretti which overlooks the church of San Giovanni Battista, the Palazzo Priorale, the Altana dell’Orologio, the Teatro dell’Arancio (XVIII century), the elegant loggia and the splendid belvedere. Not far away is the seventeenth-century church of Santa Lucia attributed to the architect Fontana and commissioned by Sixtus V. In the walk along the walls you can visit the restored Torrione della Battaglia (16th century), which houses the Torrione della Battaglia Museum inside , a large collection of works by the sculptor Pericle Fazzini.
